The female form can be emphasised in a number of different ways, dependent on height, figure and of course, fashion preference. Remember though, whatever you do to add volume or attention to the shoulders, the hips need equal treatment to maintain their balance.Īlternatively, you can make your waist appear slimmer by visually pulling it in but leaving the upper and lower body as is.To understand the cuts that you can always rely on to achieve style success, it all comes down to your body shape. Either define the waist by dividing the torso, splitting up the shoulders and hips – divide and conquer!- and visually pull the waist in, or you can accentuate your waist and shine a spotlight on how narrow it is by adding volume to the hips and shoulders.īoth achieve the same effect by shining a spotlight on the waist and making it appear smaller than the hips and shoulders by drawing the eye in. ![]() We want to bring the eye in from your balanced shoulders and hips and define your waistline. The goal for dressing the rectangle is to shine the spotlight down at your narrow waist so it gets equal treatment and attention. Don’t help them steal the spotlight from your equally lovely, but not always as noticeable, waistline by giving them a microphone and theme music too. ![]() ![]() So basically, your shoulders and hips have everything going for them already. It’s a little quieter, more subtle, but just as lovely when people can see past your perfectly balanced hips and shoulders long enough to pay attention to it. Your balanced hips and shoulders are fabulous in every sense of the word, and they don’t need any help getting attention, but your waist needs the upper hand. Even when they aren’t trying, they steal the spotlight and make Jan Brady (your waist) feel invisible. Your balanced shoulders and hips are already so fabulous and provide perfect structure to your tops and bottoms, they steal the spotlight! It’s like Marsha and Cindy Brady are your shoulders and hips. I want you to fall in love with your body because it’s amazing! When you work with, not against, your naturally fabulous features it’s so freeing. We can do the same thing with outfits, spotlighting the parts where we want to focus their attention, and use that to make them see what we want them to see. It could be because they want to direct our eyes to where the most important action is, to distract us from something like a set change, or because they are trying to achieve an effect like telling us we are seeing a memory, a weather change, or magic. The lighting crew shines spotlights on certain parts of the stage to draw your attention to the place they want you to look. Instead, we are going to direct the spotlight to accentuate and highlight specific parts of our bodies. Your rectangle-shaped body is perfect, it’s beautiful, and we don’t want to cover anything up. Most body shape courses and articles focus on hiding or covering parts of your body, which adds to the shame and media lie that we all need to achieve an impossible ideal. However, you are also the most likely to be very satisfied with your body because it’s so balanced and easy to fit. Your primary complaint is usually a lack of curves and feeling like you look boyish. Your best asset is your naturally athletic, healthy look, the ease of finding clothes that fit you, and your naturally balanced body. ![]() This is such a common problem that I’ve created a FREE Masterclass on how to find pants that fit you right, and you can reserve your spot right now! If you want to dive even deeper into dressing for your body shape, my new 2-part course, Style Your Silhouette has an entire module dedicated to bottoms and so much more! Your biggest shopping challenge is finding pants that give you curves without creating a muffin top. You can typically find clothes that fit you off the rack pretty easily, and even when you gain weight you tend to look slimmer than your size tag would indicate because of your even proportions. When shopping for clothes, you wear the same size on top and on bottom.

![]() ![]() Red means that content from this third party domain has been completely disallowed. What do the red, yellow and green sliders in the Privacy Badger menu mean? The domains that do this are called “third party trackers”, and you can read more about how they work here. On the modern Web, embedded images and code often use cookies and other methods to track your browsing habits - often to display advertisements. This is an essential feature of hypertext. When you visit a webpage parts of the page may come from domains and servers other than the one you asked to visit. To do so, visit your Badger’s options page and mark the checkbox for learning to block new trackers from your browsing. You may want to opt back in to local learning if you regularly browse less popular websites. Privacy Badger no longer learns from your browsing by default, as “local learning” may make you more identifiable to websites. This “remote learning” automatically discovers trackers present on thousands of the most popular sites on the Web. If it observes a single third-party host tracking you on three separate sites, Privacy Badger will automatically disallow content from that third-party tracker.īy default, Privacy Badger receives periodic learning updates from Badger Sett, our Badger training project. Privacy Badger looks for tracking techniques like uniquely identifying cookies, local storage “supercookies,” and canvas fingerprinting. Voila!Īt a more technical level, Privacy Badger keeps note of the “third party” domains that embed images, scripts and advertising in the pages you visit. And when your browser stops loading content from a source, that source can no longer track you. If as you browse the web, the same source seems to be tracking your browser across different websites, then Privacy Badger springs into action, telling your browser not to load any more content from that source. (For example, a news webpage might load the actual article from the news company, ads from an ad company, and the comments section from a different company that’s been contracted out to provide that service.) Privacy Badger keeps track of all of this. When you view a webpage, that page will often be made up of content from many different sources. ( See also.) How does Privacy Badger work? What is and isn’t considered a tracker is entirely based on how a specific domain acts, not on human judgment. Privacy Badger is an algorithmic tracker blocker – we define what “tracking” looks like, and then Privacy Badger blocks or restricts domains that it observes tracking in the wild. Second, most other blockers rely on a human-curated list of domains or URLs to block. The extension doesn’t block ads unless they happen to be tracking you in fact, one of our goals is to incentivize advertisers to adopt better privacy practices. First, while most other blocking extensions prioritize blocking ads, Privacy Badger is purely a tracker-blocker. Privacy Badger was born out of our desire to be able to recommend a single extension that would automatically analyze and block any tracker or ad that violated the principle of user consent which could function well without any settings, knowledge, or configuration by the user which is produced by an organization that is unambiguously working for its users rather than for advertisers and which uses algorithmic methods to decide what is and isn’t tracking.Īs a result, Privacy Badger differs from traditional ad-blocking extensions in two key ways. ![]() How is Privacy Badger different from other blocking extensions? To the advertiser, it’s like you suddenly disappeared. If an advertiser seems to be tracking you across multiple websites without your permission, Privacy Badger automatically blocks that advertiser from loading any more content in your browser. Privacy Badger is a browser extension that stops advertisers and other third-party trackers from secretly tracking where you go and what pages you look at on the web. lossy AAC / lossy Ogg Vorbis: Is There a Difference?ĪAC and Ogg Vorbis files do sound slightly but noticeably better than MP3s being what they are today, my guess is that you can afford the slightly larger file size of CBR 320k MP3s, but it’s not a huge deal.
